DHAJA CHANGE CEREMONY:

The Annual Dhaja Change Ceremony is one of the most auspicious ritual in our religion related to our temple and a memorable day for all JCM members as it reminds us of our heritage, devotion and commitment to our faith.

WHAT IS CHANGED THIS YEAR DUE TO COVID-19 PANDEMIC? –Micchāmi Dukkaḍaṃ (मिच्छामि दुक्कडम्) in Advance

• Very Limited “In Person” Attendance: Due to social distancing guidelines from the Minnesota Department of Health as well restrictions from the Hindu Mandir on number of devotees and the maximum time they can stay inside the temple (Max. 24 people total from all temples including Jain Center with maximum 20 minutes), JCM Board is constrained to limit “in person” attendance at the temple for our annual Dhaja change event.  To enable all the JCM members to get the labh of viewing the ceremony and darshan, the Dhaja Ceremony will be live streamed on the JCM website for JCM members.

• Also, considering the health and safety of all of our JCM members, this year JCM Board has decided to perform all rituals by minimum number of Board and Supporting Members on behalf of all sponsors and our JCM Sangh. JCM is taking special permission to stay longer for minimum number of people from the Hindu Mandir.

• This was a difficult decision for us but by keeping health and safety of all of our JCM members as our top priority. JCM Board has taken this decision by considering current restrictions/recommendations for larger gathering by our state officials, Hindu Mandir, as well consultation with other larger Jain Sanghs, JAINA, and our senior members.

JCM 2020 “ONLINE” ANNUAL DHAJA CHANGE CEREMONY OUTLINE:

• 02:00 PM – 02:45 PM – Snatra Pooja & Shanti Kalash
• 02:45 PM – 03:15 PM – Dhaja ceremony
• 03:15 PM – 03:30 PM – Aarti & Mangal Divo

HOW CAN YOU TAKE LABH OF SPONSORSHIP?

• JCM Board has decided to give an opportunity to all members to co-sponsor Dhaja, Kalash, Snatra Pooja, Aartis, and Mangal Divo.
• Everyone can be a co-sponsor in case of multiple sponsorship.
• All Sponsor’s name will be posted on various JCM social media platforms.

FOR DHAJA SPONSORSHIP (ONLY):

• Lucky Draw: (Update: Mauli & Manish Sharma Family has been selected in Lucky Draw on 25th June 2020) A senior JCM member will conduct and select only 1 “Dhaja Sponsors Representative” from Dhaja sponsors by lucky draw on 25^th June 2020 (Thursday) at 8 PM from the received Platinum Level sponsors.

• The selected “Dhaja Sponsors Representative” can perform all rituals related to Dhaja sponsorship (Main Kalash Pooja, Vashashkep Pooja of Dhaja and three rounds of the temple with Dhaja and hoisting the Dhaja) on behalf of all Dhaja sponsors.

• The selected “Dhaja Sponsors Representative” will keep the lowered Dhaja with his/her forever.

• A Board member will complete rituals, in case selected “Dhaja Sponsors Representative” prefers not to come temple due to any reasons. JCM Board will handover lowered Dhaja to him/her after the event.

FOR KALASH, SNATRA, AND AARTI SPONSORSHIP:

• To accommodate Hindu Mandir restrictions, all rituals for Kalash Pooja, Snatra Pooja, and Aarti will be conducted by a Board member as a representative of all respective sponsors.

HINDU MANDIR TEMPLE VISIT POLICY:

All must have to follow Hindu Mandir’s temple visit policy (i.e. social distancing, hand washing, mask, hand gloves, etc.), if you are coming to temple.
